Each of the villas is located with its original wall structure and typical roof ‘makuti’ on a large garden capable of defining the right independence between the houses.
Ideal for families or groups of 4 or 5 people, the villas are composed of one or two bedrooms, bathroom, comfortable living room (combined with kitchen corner) each of them have a veranda where a typical ‘giriama’ be will allow you a pleasant relax.
Also the villas, as the rooms are furnished with wood furniture of meticulous work of local craftsman, and are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan blades, safe box, refrigerators, each bed is equipped with mosquito nets.
Villas are situated on large lots of land to satisfy all the demands of liberty and privacy. In addition the different housing solution, permit to satisfy all the request of different spaces.
Each is made with local materials; the structure in elevation is built with squire blocks of coral associated with cement mortar, concrete floor and wooden beams of ‘casuarinas’.
The ‘makuti’ roof is typical in any construction on the coast of Kenya. It is a conical structure built using a ‘frame’ of piles underpinning ‘tiles’ in makuti made with woven palm leaves tied together.
This characteristic roof helps to keep the rooms below pleasant cool in spite of high temperature and integrates perfectly with the surroundings.
The frames for doors and windows are made of clear wood and painted with enamel, while the floors are made of Indian terracotta tiles in the bedrooms, of ‘terrazzo’ in the bathrooms; living room and veranda are finally paved in stones ‘galana’.
