Mavji Construction Company Limited (MCC) was founded by the late Mr. Mavji Ratna Kanbi and was incorporated in September 1971 with its headquarters in Mombasa and a branch office in Nairobi until 1985 when the headquarters in Mombasa was closed.They moved from Mombasa to Mavji Headquarters, off Mombasa Road.

The company has grown from the humble beginnings of construction works in places like Lamu, Hola, Witu, Embu, Siaya, Kakamega, Nyeri, Makueni and Mombasa whose building costs in those early days were in the region of a few hundred thousand shillings to the present with the attendant size and value of the building works undertaken reaching into the billions of shillings plus. With the passage of time and the projects undertaken, so has been the growth of financial resources and the strengths of the company. We have been able to undertake numerous large projects for both the private, corporate and public entities whose successful execution has made us a contractor of choice within the building industry.
