Kibera, Nairobi

Kibera is widely known as the largest slam in Nairobi. It is located five kilometers away from the city center. With a population of 750,000 people as per the 2009 census report, the neighborhood is divided into a number of villages. Conditions in Kibera are poor and most of its residents lack basic services. This slum has had improvements in recent past in development of residential skyscrapers.
