Embakasi has been a prime location of housing in the recent past since the development of the Eastern-By-Pass. It lies in the south east of Nairobi province, 15 Kilometers from the city center. It is the home to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and an Inland Container Depot. It is home to many since building in the area is boosted by the good infrastructure that is in the area.
