Hey guys, I intend to buy a house but I don't have an agent of my own. A friend advised me that it's advisable to have an agent of my own in this scenario but I am not sure. can anyone advice?

What do I need to know about this to be able to make the right decision?

I was adviced by a friend that buying a house from a bank happens to be a little cheaper than from home owners. However, I am not so sure of this as much as it sounds great. Can someone please adivice
